About these terms
HeyTribe is provided by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] (“we”, “us”). By using HeyTribe, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you're using HeyTribe for your family, you're agreeing for yourself, and you're responsible for how the people you invite use your tribe.
Changes to HeyTribe
We keep improving HeyTribe, so features may change, appear or go away. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without promises that it will always work, be error-free or keep every piece of information forever. Keep your own copies of anything important, such as document numbers.
Your tribe and invite codes
- Starting a tribe takes a family name and your first name. Please use real, accurate details for the people in your tribe.
- Each tribe has an invite code. Anyone with the code can join and see the tribe, so keep it within your family and people you trust.
- You're responsible for who you share your code with and for activity in your tribe.
- Children should use HeyTribe with a parent or guardian, inside a tribe that the parent or guardian set up.
Acceptable use
Please use HeyTribe to run your household. Don't use it to:
- Break the law or help anyone else break it
- Harass, threaten or harm anyone
- Join a tribe you weren't invited to, or try to access other people's information
- Upload malicious code, overload the service or try to get around its security
- Copy, resell or rebuild HeyTribe as your own product
Premium and billing
Every feature has a free version. Premium costs $4.99 a month per tribe after a 7-day free trial, and it's charged only to tribes that choose to keep it. We'll show the price and terms clearly before you pay, and you'll be able to cancel at any time. Cancelling stops future charges; your tribe moves back to the free plan.
Your content stays yours
Everything your family adds belongs to you. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to run HeyTribe for your tribe, including sending Hey Tribe text to an AI service as described in our privacy policy.
Reminders are helpers
Heads-up alerts, the health and medicine log, the baby log and Hey Tribe are there to help you stay organized. They aren't medical, legal or financial advice, and they may be late, wrong or missing. Always check important dates, doses and details yourself.
Ending service
You can stop using HeyTribe at any time and ask us to delete your tribe. We may suspend or end access to a tribe that breaks these terms. We may also change or stop the service; if we shut HeyTribe down, we'll try to give reasonable notice so families can save what they need.
Limits of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as a missed appointment or lost data, arising from your use of HeyTribe. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for HeyTribe in the twelve months before the claim, or [AMOUNT] if you haven't paid anything.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts located in [STATE], unless the law where you live says otherwise.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as HeyTribe grows. When we make important changes, we'll update the effective date and let families know. Questions? Write to [CONTACT EMAIL].
